Safety

As confident as I am about all of my products, everyone should be aware of the possibility of rare, unforeseen accidents.

No child should be left unsupervised with any type of jewelry because of the risk of possible strangulation or choking.

When using a nursing necklace with an infant, use should be restricted to a wakeful adult wearing the necklace while feeding the child. The child should not be wearing a necklace or any jewelry while in a car seat, crib, bouncy seat, etc. Never let a child go to sleep wearing jewelry. When you are not wearing your jewelry, never leave it where a child can get access to it.

For children no longer using a nursing necklace, but too young for sibling jewelry I have toddler necklaces available. They are double knotted to withstand rougher handling by toddlers. Toddlers should be under constant supervision. You should be sure that safety rules are explained to your child. They should never wear jewelry near machinery, at the playground, while sleeping, etc. They should not pull on or chew beads or swing necklaces around.

My older children’s and adult and teen designs are made for use by children over age 3 and adults only. It is not double knotted between the beads like the nursing necklaces and toddler necklaces are. It is recommended only for children over the age of 3.
