Nursing Necklaces and Reminder Bracelets

A nursing necklace is a tool that a Mom uses to keep the attention of her baby on breastfeeding. It can lengthen the time of breastfeeding by keeping the baby on task, giving her something to do while nursing, and something to play with other than skin or hair. A reminder bracelet is worn by moms to remember which side she last nursed on.

Pictures of All My Jewelry in Action

I am looking for new pictures of necklaces in action for my website. Please make sure the necklace is being worn by an adult in any picture you submit. I am also looking for stories about how using a nursing necklace has helped you. Or submit a story about how one of my necklaces has helped someone else. Email submissions to ifishqueen@comcast.net

Stories about how your child's nursing necklace is being used for weaning and beyond.

Is your toddler weaning, and now using their nursing necklace as a beloved toy? Can you not leave the house without it? Or has your child weaned and yet still loved the necklace I created for them as a baby? Please send me your story, preferable with pictures so I may add it to my "Loved Through Weaning and Beyond" page.

Helping In the Community

I would like to thank Lin Miller, a student nurse at Olympia Career Training Institute .

She invited Rita Pettys, a friend and fellow LeLeche League mom, and me to talk to her class and demonstrate breastfeeding.

It was an amazing opportunity for us to be able to help nurses be more prepared to help new Moms in their very critical first few days of breastfeeding.

I look forward to reaching out to the community like this again!
